FUTURE OF BARTON RENEWABLE ENERGY PLANT SITE

Following the successful campaign by the Breathe Clean Air Group which STOPPED the construction of the Barton Renewable Energy Plant, located in Davyhulme, Greater Manchester, the Peel Group has decided to sell this piece of land.

The site is now owned by P Flannery Plant Hire. This company intends to construct an office block and workshop with a Service Yard and a Parking Area, which will be landscaped. They will need to submit a planning application to Trafford Council.

P Flannery Plant Hire is a national company with headquarters near London and Depots in Manchester, Birmingham, Newport, Northumberland, Aberdeen and Dublin. The Manchester depot is located in Northbank Industrial Estate, Irlam.

Also, news concerning Port Salford on the Salford side of the Manchester Ship Canal. There are currently several restrictive planning conditions which have to be processed by Salford City Council before they can carry out any further development.
