BCAG Join London Biomass Demonstration
The Breathe Clean Air Group joined national campaigners on Saturday (22nd October 2011) at a demonstration outside the Department of Energy and Climate Change in London.  The demonstration, organised by Biofuelwatch with the support of Campaign against Climate Change, called for the end of subsidies for bioenergy, which is not sustainable and is hugely damaging to the environment.  Campaigners travelled from as far as the Isle of Wight, Scotland, London, Bristol, Port Talbot, Newport and Manchester to unite against biomass and biofuels. The individually-funded trip was an opportunity for the BCAG to support the wider opposition to biomass, talk to others and understand more about the various issues associated with biomass.
