Balloon Release
Hello everyone!
It has been a busy week for the campaign! You may have seen the news reports yesterday on the BBC – both of the video clips are on the homepage of the website: www.bcag.co.uk . We went out live at lunch time and were part of an edited report in the evening. In the lunch time clip we managed to convey some of the health effects and the fact that they have not proposed the best technology so far. All great publicity for the campaign.
Our next event is a Balloon Release, using all biodegradable materials. This will be held on Saturday 30th October at 11.30am, just behind Christ Church on Lostock Road Davyhulme. This is to raise awareness of where the emissions from the plant may spread to.
Hopefully the weather will be kind. We hope you can join us there!
Best wishes,
Jo and The Breathe Clean Air Group
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE THAT ATTENED THE BALLOON RELEASE TODAY. WE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS AND GRANADA REPORTS DID TOO! IT IS BEING AIRED ON ITV 1 TONIGHT AT 17:45.
FYI a balloon race conducted in Timperley many years ago had balloons returned from as far away as Diss, Norfolk.
The bearing of Diss from Timperley is about 114 degrees from North (CW).
This will be approximately the bearing of land fall nanoparticles from the BREP.
This value of about 114 degs accords very well with the land fall map which you have reproduced.
