HIGH COURT CHALLENGE DETAILS CONFIRMED

COURT 41 ~ CIVIL JUSTICE COURTS , MANCHESTER

The High Court hearing will be open to the public and will begin on Monday 10th February in Court 41 at the Civil Justice Courts, Manchester (Manchester Civil Justice Centre, 1 Bridge Street West, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M60 9DJ). It is also scheduled to take place on Tuesday 11th February as well, but this is yet to be confirmed and we will find out about this after Monday’s hearing.

We have been advised that proceedings are very legalistic, meaning that no witnesses or new evidence are taken. The Judge will have read the papers and consider the matter based upon the submissions made prior to the hearing by each parties’ barristers. The Court will not tolerate any disruption or an attempt from the public to make their own views heard.

Time and time again, our community has voiced that this dirty incinerator is unwelcome in Davyhulme. We have fought together at every step to protect our health and that of future generations. This hearing may be the final chance we get to send the clear message that we stand solidly together to stop this being imposed upon us. We hope to see you there!
